Shad
Not-his-real-name Huffer certainly can generate some serious swing
speed. Shad has more flexibility than anybody else in the group.
Andy Bratt is pretty limber but Shad is even more so.
He tees the driver up really high and when everything goes well,
hits the ball on the upswing with great results. Shad can be
seriously long. He can also go seriously wrong.
Like a lot of the younger guys,
Shad could stand to work on his iron play, especially the scoring
clubs (wedges). He seems to suffer a bit on the greens but
works pretty hard with the flat stick.
2005 was actually a step backward
for Huffer as his scoring average was not very good for him at 90.3.
With the talent he has, it's a crime that his best round was 82!
I will have to say that Shad's game
has come a long way since he first joined up at Jekyll. If he
would slow things down just a tad and accept 300 yard drives instead
of 320 yarders, work on his chipping, sand play and wedges, he would
be consistently break 80. |
